We all have crosses to bear but our crosses may not be heavier compare to some who are extremely burdened by the weight of the cross they are carrying.
If you have been following the news lately then there is less effort for me to explain. I am referring to the recent major calamity that hit Haiti. There is no surmountable words that will exactly describe the suffering of those who were stricken by the earthquake. Are we just going to clip our arms on our chest and watch them suffer? Yes, we do pray for them but it is very comprehendible that we still need to extend something beyond our prayers. Many of our brothers in Haiti need food, care, medicines, shelter, among other things.
In times like this, our KCIC community being an "International" Catholic entity, should not let down our brothers and sister who really need our help. Let us be generous as our resources can accommodate. Thus, I am proposing to all of you to have a special collection solely intended for this cause on Sunday's mass (any Sunday will do).
Are you with me?
