October 22, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. a Saturday, amidst slight downpour, the proposed site in which the new Kamifukuoka Catholic Church shall be built was blessed by Rev. Fr. Warret and Rev. Fr. Qouc Dinh Nguyen.

It was witnessed by several Japanese and Filipino devotees who eagerly braved the rain and the chilling breeze that particular morning just to be a part of that momentous event. Notwithstanding the hectic schedule of their daily routine in life, these people never hesitated, and never felt reluctant to give a pause in their daily activities in order to be with God for a moment.

Fr. Warret, in his short homily reiterated his thanks to the Lord for His goodness to us. He emphasized that while the ceremonies and rituals of the blessings took place amidst the rains falling from heaven at that very moment, it reminded us that it was meant to give us the strength and the courage to withstand all the catastrophes and disasters that mother nature may impose upon this world - thus the need to strengthen our prayers and faith in God is eminent through His church. We should not therefore cease praying to the Lord.

As the saying goes "Prayer do make holes in heaven, through which God's blessings will flow."

snowlove   |Registered |2011-11-14 19:49:12 I, too was hopeful to witness the groundbreaking ceremony and blessing but sad to say I couldn't make it... our great hope that next year in March the new Kami-Fukuoka Catholic Church will shine again. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
